Easy Hibiscus Tea Recipe
1 Teaspoon of Hibiscus Tea to approximately 180-250ml of filtered water.
- Step 1: Boil the water.
- Step 2: Put 1 teaspoon of tea into heat proof cup or teapot, pour over water, stir.
- Step 3: Wait 10 minutes to steep and extract maximum flavour and colour.
- Step 4: Strain (optional, hibiscus tea is edible) and serve.
Serving Hibiscus Tea
- Hot - with a touch of sweetness (optional), using stevia or honey.
- Warm - same as above.
- Cold - make the tea and allow it to cool, pour over ice
- Cooking - follow the instructions above and allow it to cool.
Freezing Hibiscus Tea
Hibiscus tea is one of those recipes you can freeze into smaller ice-blocks and use for later. If you decide to do this, you can make it more concentrated by using less water and freezing into ice cubes.

How to make hibiscus tea from dried flowers
The Hibiscus tea you purchase from The Tea Cartel contains only dried flowers from the hibiscus plant. It consists of very small pieces, dehydrated. All you need to do is measure out the quantity of tea you want (1 teaspoon to 1 cup of boiling water) and make the recipe following the instructions above.
