Easy Preparation
You will get the most flavour and value from brewing hot and allowing to cool to add to your drinks or meals.
Preparation for Iced Tea & Food
- Boil 180-250 ml filtered water.
- Measure ~1 teaspoon of tea into a jug or cup.
- Pour boiling water over tea, stir and allow to steep for 5-10 minutes.
- Strain, pour and enjoy.
- For green teas - brew only 2 minutes.
- For black teas - brew only 3-4 minutes.
Drinks can be prepared in advanced. Depending on your recipe, you may like to reduce the quantity of water and use the same amount of tea to make a concentrate, or substitute water in the recipe for tea.
Preparation for Cocktails
- Add 1 teaspoon of tea to 30mls of white spirits (gin or vodka), to glass jar with lid.
- Shake vigorously, leave lid on and allow to steep at least 10-15 minutes, preferably a few hours or overnight.
- Strain into glass over ice. Pour gin or soda water through strainer to extra remaining flavours.
