Easy English Breakfast Tea Iced Latte
Fancy a refreshing drink that's not coffee? Need a quick pick me up? Try this gorgeous English Breakfast Tea Iced Latte, using Bold English Breakfast Tea Leaves. This recipe only requires a handful of ingredients and can be made in advance and kept for two days in the fridge. Makes 2-3 cups.
Ingredients for Tea
- 2 heaped teaspoons of loose leaf Bold English Breakfast Tea
- 500 ml of filtered water, boiled hot for brewing tea
Ingredients for Creamer
- 1 tablespoon of cashew nut creamer (or creamer of your choice)
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- Ice
- 1/2 cup of water (room temp)
- Recipe for DIY cashew nut creamer
Method - Part 1 (*making the creamer)
- Take 1 glass, add the creamer ingredients, pour into glass, stir well.
- If the honey and cashew nut creamer is not dissolving well, put into blender for 30 seconds to mix until it's a nice creamy coffee colour.
- Set aside.
Method - Part 2 (*making the tea)
- Take teapot, add tea and pour over filtered boiling water.
- Stir and allow to sit for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour into a jug and strain to remove the tea leaves, give it a gentle fan and stir to start the cooling process.
Assemble
- Fill glass 1/2 full with small ice cubes
- Pour tea into glass until 3/4 tea
- Fill glass with creamer
- Stir and enjoy!!
