Earl Grey Gin and Tonic

To make an Earl Grey Gin and Tonic, you will need the following ingredients:

30ml gin
1 teaspoon earl grey tea leaves
180ml high quality tonic
Lemon twist or lavender sprig (for garnish)

Instructions:

In a shaker, combine the gin and earl grey tea leaves, shake well.
Add ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the drink.
Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist or lavender sprig.
Serve and enjoy your delicious Earl Grey Gin and Tonic!

Note: Steep the gin and earl grey tea leaves overnight for a spectacular botanical flavour!!

Bonus Points

Separately take 30ml gin + 1 teaspoon Empress Blue Butterfly Pea Flower Tea and steep (makes it a brilliant purple blue hue). Strain. After making the gin and tonic, pour this over the top for a sparkly blue effect in your drink.

Add fresh lime leaves to your gin and tonic.

Preparation:

Add volume of liquid + quantity of tea to bottle/jar with lid.
Shake vigorously to ensure all botanicals and alcohol is well mixed.
Steep preferably overnight, or for minimum 3 hours (preparation in advance).
Will keep in fridge chilled (neat white spirits + tea) for 3 days easily.

Application:

Strain desired quantity of alcohol from botanical mix, pour into glass.
Add ice cubes, stir well.
Add in mixers (e.g. Fever tree tonic), stir well.
Sprinkle fresh flowers or dried fruit slices as desired.
Serve to your guests and enjoy!
